Hai, it have been a long time since I touch this blog. a lot of things had happen in the past few months, did some really big mistakes and really learn a lot of things thru the whole incident. I am really sorry for those people I had hurt especially to her. From this experience I had find out that I have friends that care for me, I really appreciate what my friends had show their concern for me. They had really did one hell of a job to help me back on my feet, although it was slow but there was still progress. I really do not know what I will do without these friends. My friends have stand beside me even I have been so emo and do not care shit about anything.
After that day, everything seems so worthless to me. I did not care what I do or what is happening to me. i only think of what a jerk am I, friends around me were getting worried. They talk to me show me support but all I thought about was about what a jerk I am. Nothing seems important to me , as if I cannot move on. Most of the time I was thinking should not have done this and that. Sometimes I even feel droplets of water dripping down. In school I did not even dare to look at her, I keep on telling myself I had let her down and it was my entire fault. All my friends could see I was not myself anymore, they all sense that something was wrong. They all have asked me, but I just kept quite.

I guess that was the past! :D

What or should I say who really make me get back on my feet, I told you who! It is not only one person but is a whole big group of people! They were there for me all the time! Some of them even hear me blah shit on how a jerk am I! It was their supports that make me feel that I still have reason to continue my life. Their jokes, their advice and their scolding that make me start to stand up on my feet. Honestly I can say I have not fully recovered from the incident but I promise I will! RAWR!

P.S I really never regret the time we had together. I really wish we can be like the past, I believe is not impossible but it is going to be hard. I dare say I am willing to commit to our friendship. Are you? I hereby wish you a great life ahead!

Day 9

HAHA! Looks like I am not the only one who did not wear thick enough clothes yesterday! Today 3 people have fallen sick! They are jia leng, wang yi and jun kai. Jia leng and wang yi had fallen sick is because they had gotten a cold but jun kai is another reason. The reason is he had eaten too much satay! I had already warned him not to eat too much but he just does not listen, in the end he had fallen sick. Luckily there is 2 more survivors, and that is me and jie rui, so we decided to head to 户部巷 for our breakfast. 户部巷is famous for Wuhan local delights, in the morning it would sell morning breakfast, well in the night it will sell main dishes like noodles and seafood. At night户部巷does not only have food stalls but also streets stalls. There is something fun about the street stall that is you can bargain the price with the owner! When you successfully bargain the price, we will feel there is a sense of achievement.

Day 8-(haircut day)

Chapter 4 of pjm, contract document you must include instruction to tenderers, form of tender and appendix, form of agreement… argh there is so many things to include in contract document. Before learning PJM, I thought contract document is just a piece of confirmation paper where you sign. But after learning, it shows me how a simple contract can be that important, every single detail must be stated correctly. After PJM, my friends decided to get their hair cut here, I did not join them because I think it was still quite early to cut my hair. Since the weather was good, I decided to go for a run, because I am growing fatter and fatter every single day! The run was not easy, because it was my first time running in such a cold weather, however after running a few laps, I felt better. After completing my run, I did a stupidest thing, I did not went back and change to a warmer clothes, instead I went to meet my friends! How dumb I could be! Soon after the sun set, the “fun” part began. Once you step out of the shop you could feel the cold air prickling into your skin, now imagine it prickling your skin for the whole of 2 hours! After spending 2 hours outside, the feeling of getting home was great!

KTV! KTV! KTV! This word is the best thing that can happen to me today! Today is free day! That means no classes and school trips! Just on time, my throat was feeling a little itchy, so I and my group of friend decided to go to the KTV to sing! To all KTV lovers out there, especially to those who think kbox is great, you have not try the ktv in china yet! It was a totally different experience from Singapore’s kbox, they treated ktv as though as it is a prestigious place. When you enter, the atmosphere was as though you have step into a five star hotel. You are greeted warmly by the receptionist; they are all dress formal even the security guards have to dress formal. The room was fully equipped and the seats are comfortable. They even have all touch screen manual! The songs are even up to date, from English to Korean pop. My experience for the ktv was great,futhermore it is cheaper than singapore kbox! Well my day, do not stop there! After singing, my friends and I decided to have our dinner and walk around. I had made a list of things to do in china, and one of it is actually to have a haircut! The hair salon here is also prestigious; it is totally different in Singapore. You would totally feel like a king/queen when you step into the shop!

Things that I have learn today!

China immersion program is not only learning in the class, but also getting to know how the people work in china work. Honestly I can tell you that the people treat their work very seriously, especially in the service sector. Furthermore, they do not charge any service charge that means they do it on their own will. The treat their jobs as their own pride, for example today I experience excellent service at the ktv, when they served you they always greet you with a smile first. Another example is the china’s hair salon, some of my friends are not use to people opening the door for them and greet them. Maybe is because the guys who open the door have the weirdest haircut of all! But even though those guys look like “ah beng” they still treat their work seriously, even if you are not their customer, they still smile at you and say “thank you”. I think you could hardly see this type of service in Singapore; I am serious impress with their service. This experience really gave me a different look about china!

snowing day!- (Day 6)

YES! Snow! Finally i have seen snow! Although it was a light, but you can see it slowly falling from the sky! It was 8.20 in the morning, the coldness had really blurred our senses, at first we thought it was raining but taking a closer look, it was snow! For 19 years of my life, I have not seen snow till today, so as dialect said, I was a little “sua ku” when I saw snow. We did not enjoy the snow because we had lesson and when the lesson is finish, the snow had already stop. In the evening we decided to go for singing, so we decided to hire a van to take us, which was introduce by a friend. However, the van did not find where we are, so we did have to cancel our trip. While waiting for the van driver it snow again, but we did not enjoy cause it was too cold. In the end, we end up at our dorm eating the fake MacDonald (the reason we call it fake mac was Mr. wee!).

Things I have learn today!

In Wuhan, there are a lot of names for a street. For an example for our school is called by a few names, they are: “武职” and ” 武汉职业科技大学“. The reason why we have to cancel our trip, is because we told the van driver a different road and furthermore it was still snowing! So we had to stand under the snow and wait for the driver to come. i had learn that in a foreign country, you are require to remember the local name of yr hostel. There is a very easy method to know the local name is by sitting their local transport. In Wuhan, the buses will make an announcements when it is about to reach the destination and what is the next destination. I think is convenient especially if you are a tourist and you need to know the local name.

Outing day!-(Day 5)

Outing day! Today my friends and I decided to go to 汉口, the reason is our IS teacher recommend us there for shopping! The bus ride was awfully long from our hostel. It took us 1hr 30mins to arrive at the ferry deck. From there we still need to take a ferry ride to汉口. 汉口is a shopping paradise, however if you are look for something cheap , I do not recommend there. The prices of the clothes there is the same in most shopping centre. I did not brought anything there; my friends and I continue walking and we realise, the pets down here are freaking huge! What have their owners been feeding them? Some of the size of the pets can be as tall as an 8 years old kid! We could not find anything to buy so we end up taking 大头贴. It was an enjoyable 300 secs taking funny shots. The last ferry was 8.00pm, so we quickly get back to the ferry. After arriving back on land, we found that it was still early, so we explore around and found a place call 户部巷. That is the place that really made my day! The whole area is like our local pasarmalam, the things there are cheap. You could even have discount, if you know how to negotiate. The food there was fantastic; however we were told that the area is famous for breakfast. On that day, I also realise 2 things about china, firstly is they end their work early! We did not realise that, until we saw the bus information sign, we were lucky to catch the last bus around 2200. Secondly is their bus driver drive very fast at night! It is like sitting on a roller coaster ride, where you are hanging on your dear life! An hour and a half journey could be reduced into 45mins!

Things that I have learned today!

Beside learning what bus to take or how to take a ferry to 汉口, there is something important I have learnt today, and that is learning how to cross the road in china! I think crossing the road in china is not an easy task; firstly you must have the courage and secondly you must have to skill! So if you are like me, who do not have both of the skills, you can just follow the person next to you. In china, the vehicles on the road do not care about the pedestrian, even if the traffic light shows a green man, the vehicle will still drive pass! so before you cross the road look out for oncoming vehicles or you can just follow the person next to you. It always works unless they are same as you, who also do not know how to cross a road in china!

Nothing day- (Day 4)

Everything has settled down, grocery and household appliances have been brought. Roommates have decided where and who to sleep with (oh by the way 1 apartment have only 3 person, so it is not that cramp) and internet connection have already been set up. BUT only 1 thing had not been settle down, that is the freaking weather! Since I arrived in Wuhan, the temperature had been decreasing and it is making ME freeze! Luckily today there is no lesson, so I stay at home and did a little house cleaning. After our house cleaning, we stay in front of laptop and slack. Until at night, we decided to get something to eat, so we when to optical valley to have some ajisen ramen. The price of the ramen is actually cheaper than Singapore (if we assume that 1SGD= 4 RMB)!

Day 3

Our 1st lesson have started, it was an introduction on project management (PJM). I felt it is quite similar to my fundamental of civil engineering. After PJM, it was also our 1st IS lesson introduction on geography, history and culture of Wuhan city and Hubei province. In the lesson, we learned about the Chinese improvement in the recent years, how are they still improving and mostly is what their local delights are. The lecture was very friendly; he was kind enough to give us his number so we could contact him. I end of the day by visiting the optical center. The view of the optical center was spectacular, it lighting system was fantastic.

Day 2

Well as you can see i am a little late in posting my experience, alright here is day 2. Day 2 was fun, because we get to explore the campus but most of all is the local streets favorites that Mr. wee brought us! (I promise to show his face next time) .oh besides eating the local delights, I also get to experience the local habits which is, when you hear someone “errr~” in front or behind you quickly dodge! Unless you want to know what they have store inside their throat! Oh, for those who say china have nothing to eat, that is totally crap! I have already gain weight during my 1 week stay down here, I think is just you guys do not dare to try to food here! (P.S: THE THINGS HERE ARE FREAKING CHEAP!) Now let the pictures do the talking.

Ok! Now let me start on my “assignment”. The Wuhan experience! First day was nothing special, just that my dear friends had a nice chat with a china lady, my luggage could not open by ME! Instead my friend helped me open! Found out that china western airline was not that bad and finally Wuhan is freaking cold! i also found out that the Chinese loves to smoke! they can light their cigarettes anywhere! Ok, I shall let the pictures do the talking( DAM THE UPLOAD OF PHOTOS IS DAM LONG!).
